Candace Walker, founder of ELAINA B., is a Columbus, Ohio native with a lifelong passion for womenswear design. Inspired by the freedom and joy of creativity, she views fashion as a means to express ideas and visions. From a young age, Candace was immersed in fashion, sketching designs in notebooks, and reworking her own clothes. Her mother nurtured this passion by enrolling her in art and sewing classes.

Candace earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Textiles & Clothing and a Business Minor from The Ohio State University, graduating Cum Laude. Her professional journey includes roles at Abercrombie & Fitch and other fashion companies, gaining extensive experience in men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing, as well as tailored suiting, outerwear, and denimwear.

Founded in 2012, ELAINA B. started as a ready-to-wear brand in local Columbus boutiques. After focusing on her professional career, Candace rebranded ELAINA B. in 2022 as a luxury line specializing in custom couture formalwear, including bridal and ball gowns. In 2021, she relaunched ELAINA B., focusing on custom-made and ready-to-wear collections. Her designs emphasize timelessness, excellent fit, and craftsmanship.
